Soledad, CA – On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at approximately 9:22 a.m., officers from the
Soledad Police Department responded to a silent alarm at Mechanics Bank in Soledad, CA. Upon
arrival, officers confirmed that a bank robbery had occurred.
Through swift investigation, officers obtained surveillance footage identifying the suspected
vehicle. Officers immediately broadcast the vehicle description to surrounding agencies and
began a coordinated search.
Shortly after, officers received a License Plate Readers (LPRs) camera alert indicating that the
suspected vehicle was leaving the city of Soledad northbound on U.S. Highway 101. Officers from the
Soledad Police Department along with allied agencies initiated a traffic stop near Gloria Road,
where the suspect was safely taken into custody without incident.
This successful arrest was made possible through the joint efforts of the Soledad Police
Department. The suspect, identified as a 59-year-old male resident of Soledad, was taken into
custody and booked on armed robbery and other related charges.
The investigation remains ongoing. No injuries were reported during the incident.
