Mee Memorial Healthcare System Introduces California’s First Full-Body X-ray and Fluoroscopy Imaging System

King City, CA-September 4 2025—Mee Memorial Healthcare System is proud to unveil California’s first Fuji full-body X-ray and fluoroscopy imaging system, bringing cutting-edge technology to the region.

As the only hospital in South Monterey County, Mee Memorial is a lifeline for residents—often serving as the first and only line of defense in medical emergencies. Recognizing this responsibility, MMHS committed to modernizing two essential departments: Diagnostic Imaging and the Emergency Department

While the renovation of the Emergency Department continues, phase one of the Diagnostic Imaging remodel is now complete. The new Fuji system integrates state-of-the-art full-body X-ray and fluoroscopy imaging, delivering real-time, moving images that help physicians visualize, diagnose, and treat a wide range of conditions.

“Bringing this groundbreaking technology to Mee Memorial is a remarkable milestone,” said Rena Salamacha, Chief Executive Officer of Mee Memorial. “It shows that rural hospitals can be leaders in innovation, bringing world-class care to patients right here in their own community.”

The system delivers high-quality, low-dose imaging with patient comfort at its core. Amenities include ambient lighting, music, and a guided voice system, while an adaptable table adjusts to patients of all ages and body types. These innovations allow technologists to position patients more quickly and comfortably, ensuring a smoother, more efficient exam.

The next phase of renovations will further expand capabilities with the addition of a state-of-the-art CT scanner and a new mammography system.

MMHS is the primary healthcare organization serving the rural communities of Southern Monterey County. MMHS serves nearly 80,000 residents across a 50-mile stretch of Southern Monterey County, from the agricultural communities of Soledad to Bradley.
