WASHINGTON, DC – On Wednesday, December 11 U.S. Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren (CA-18), the Ranking Member of the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee, announced that Hartnell College will receive $199,951 from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to upgrade STEM research equipment.
“Strong STEM education programs set students up for success in the 21st Century economy, and I am always encouraged when local institutions are building upon their offerings. This federal funding will help advance scientific discovery and make STEM education more accessible to Hartnell’s diverse student population, fostering the next generation of STEM leaders,” said Rep. Zoe Lofgren.
The NSF funding comes from the FY24 consolidated appropriations package, which Rep. Lofgren voted in favor of.
