Man in King City Arrested for Vehicle Theft and Other Charges on December 29

 

On Sunday, December 29, 2024, at approximately 1130 am, the King City Police Department responded to a report of a vehicle that was reportedly stolen. An initial investigation, utilizing review of surveillance video, provided officers with a known suspect identified as Martin Torres. Assistance was requested from the California Highway Patrol Air Operations H70, who was in the area on patrol. CHP H70 located the stolen vehicle on the 100 block of Sussex Way with Torres exiting the vehicle and walking into a residence. Upon arrival of KCPD officers, Torres exited the rear of the residence and tried to hide in a backyard. Officers contacted Torres and arrested him for theft of the car, a Parole Violation and Driving Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance. Torres was later booked into the Monterey County Jail without incident, while the vehicle was returned to the owner. The King City Police Department thanks their allied Law Enforcement Partners for their assistance which resulted in a safe conclusion to this investigation. Suspect Vehicle in King City Quadruple Homicide on March 3 Has Been Located

  The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office, on behalf of the King City Police Department is informing the community that the suspect vehicle involved in a quadruple homicide that occurred Sunday, March 3 on the 200 block of North Second Street in King City, has been located and recovered.  The vehicle was located in an unincorporated area of South Monterey County. The King City Police Department is receiving assistance from multiple local and federal law enforcement partners in this investigation. King City Man Arrested on January 6 for Rape, Unlawful Sexual Intercourse with a Minor and Kidnapping

  According to King City Police Department, on December 30, 2024 a 17-year-old minor female victim reported that she had attended a party on the 100 Block of Bedford Circle on December 24, 2024. During the party, the suspect provided her with alcohol. He then pulled the victim into a bedroom, forcibly removed her clothing and had sexual intercourse with her against her will. This case was investigated by the King City Police Department Investigations Unit which resulted in the apprehension and arrest on January 6, 2025 of the suspect identified as 21-year-old Jesus Oseguera Briseno of King City. Briseno was also booked into the Monterey County Jail charged with Rape, Unlawful Sexual Intercourse with a Minor and Kidnapping.
