Monterey County Sheriff’s Office, King City Police Department and Salinas Police Department To Hold a Press Conference on May 10 Announcing Significant Developments in the King City Mass Shooting, South Monterey County Double Homicide and Salinas Armed Robbery
The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office, King City Police Department and Salinas Police Department will hold a joint press
conference on Friday May 10, 2024, at 9:00 AM to make a major announcement regarding significant developments related
to the double homicide that occurred on February 2, 2024, in South Monterey County, the King City Mass Shooting that
occurred on March 3, 2024, and an armed robbery that occurred in the City of Salinas.
Speaking at the press conference will be Monterey County Sheriff Tina Nieto, King City Police Chief James Hunt, Interim
Salinas Police Chief John Murray, District 3 Supervisor Chris Lopez and King City Mayor Mike LeBarre.
The press conference will be held at the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office located at 1414 Natividad Road, Salinas, CA 93906.
