On Tuesday, April 25 the County of Monterey Board of Supervisors approved a $728,000 Disaster Assistance Fund for certain flood victims, which may be ready to accept applications as soon as the week of April 30.
This program is specifically for low-income residents who were displaced by flooding or lived in evacuated flood zones during our winter storms.
The program will provide a $750 benefit per household and will be coordinated with local Catholic Charities and United Way organizations.
Additional details and application process are still being finalized. The County of Monterey and their partner agencies will announce when applications will be accepted.
