Local, state and federal collaborators are ending Day 6 of the County of Monterey Local Assistance Center (LAC) for those impacted by the 2023 storms at the Spreckels Veterans Memorial Building.
This is the final day of the LAC at this location. The number of families/households registered for disaster assistance over the first six days of this effort is 1,799. Additionally today, more than 400 residents benefited from a food, diaper and clothing distribution.
The LAC at Spreckels is closing but is reopening Saturday, January 28that the Monterey County Government Center - Schilling Place, 1441 Schilling Place in Salinas. It will have all the resources that are currently available.
