Here are the major scheduled road and lane closures for Monterey County from Sunday, August 28 through Saturday, September 3.
Highway 101: Teague Avenue – Jolon Road (Southbound): Aug. 29 – Sept. 1
One lane closure will occur along southbound Highway 101 between Teague Avenue and Jolon Road south for miscellaneous work along the highway from 7 am to 4 pm.
Highway 101: Front Street: Long-Term
Alternating lane closures will occur along Front Street at Highway 101 for K-rail installation work from 6 am to 6 pm.
Highway 101: Canal Street: Long - Term
There will be full closure of the on and off ramps of southbound Highway 101 at Canal Street for paving operation work from 3 am to 11 pm.
Highway 101: SB Jolon Road: Long - Term
There will be full closure of the on and off ramps of southbound Highway 101 at Jolon Road for paving operation work. From 3 am to 11:59 pm.
Highway 101: Camp Roberts Rest Areas: Long-Term
There will be full closure of the Camp Roberts Rest Areas on northbound and southbound Highway 101 for work to upgrade the facility from 10 am to 12 pm.
Highway 101: First Street – Jolon Road, King City: Long-Term
There will be one lane closure along northbound and southbound Highway 101 from First Street to Jolon Road for roadway excavation and pavement work from 8 am to 4 pm. Motorists can expect delays of up to 10 minutes.
State Route 183: Clark Street – New Street: August 30
One lane closure will occur along southbound State Route 183 between Clark Street and New Street for utility work from 8 am to 2:30 pm.
State Route 218: Del Monte Boulevard – Fremont Boulevard: Aug. 29 – Sept. 1
One lane closure will occur along westbound State Route 68 between Del Monte Boulevard and Fremont Boulevard for utility work from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
River Road: Fairview Road: August 2– August 31
There will be full closure of River Road at Fairview Road near Gonzales for emergency repair work. Travelers are directed to take Highway 101 south to Arroyo Seco via Fort Romie Road to River Road. Travelers heading north are directed to take Highway 101 north to Gonzales exit 310 to Alta Street via Gonzales River Road to River Road. Message and directional signs will be in place to alert travelers. Travelers should expect up to 20 minutes of additional travel time.
