On Wednesday afternoon, July 13 the South Monterey County Task Force teamed up with the Gonzales Police Department to conduct several parole and probation compliance checks.
As officers were approaching a probationer's residence on South Belden Street they observed a juvenile on probation in a vehicle trying to leave. Task Force Officers stopped the vehicle and immediately observed a firearm on the floorboard of the vehicle.
The firearm was determined to be a loaded "Ghost Gun". Two juveniles were taken into custody and transported back to the Soledad Police Department for further investigation. Both were later transported and booked into Monterey County Juvenile Hall on weapons charges and probation violations.
