25-year-old Nicholas Christopher Ron Jr. of Paso Robles was sentenced to 28 years to life in prison in SLO County Superior Court on Tuesday, June 21 for first-degree premeditated murder of Trevon Perry on March 15 of 2020. Ron admitted to using a handgun to shoot Perry, who was 27 years old at the time of his death. Perry's family reported him missing on March 16, 2020, but within days of his disappearance, law enforcement began investigating the disappearance as a possible homicide. After a months-long investigation, law enforcement found Perry's remains buried in the backyard of Ron's relatives' house in Riverside. 9 other people – including several of Ron's family members were charged as accessories to the crime.
