Man in Soledad Busted for Weapons and Narcotics Charges

 

According to the Soledad Police Department at midnight on Wednesday, June 29 South Monterey County Task Force Officers were conducting highway interdiction operations on U.S. 101 when they observed a suspicious vehicle with several vehicle code violations.

Christopher Valencia from San Bernardino was contacted by officers. While he was being contacted, K-9 Koda took a stroll around the vehicle and had a positive alert on several areas. Officers then located a loaded, unregistered "Ghost Gun" in the vehicle, along with narcotics.  

Valencia was arrested for firearms and narcotics violations, and the vehicle was impounded for a later search after the issuance of a search warrant. Valencia was transported to the Monterey County Jail where he was charged with weapons and narcotics violations.
