Numerous PG&E customers in South Monterey County were impacted by lightning caused power outages that damaged equipment in the area late Wednesday afternoon and Wednesday evening, June 22. 97 customers in King City were affected, while 168 customers in the Soledad area were without electricity for hours. A total of 1,927 customers were without electricity in Monterey County. All of the power was restored for impacted customers sometime on Thursday morning and Thursday afternoon, June 23.
