Long-Term Lane Closure set for December 14 on US 101 in King City as Pavement Rehabilitation Project Advances
MONTEREY COUNTY – A Caltrans pavement rehabilitation construction project along US 101 near King City will enter a new phase with a change in long-term lane closure set to begin December 14.
Beginning Monday Dec. 14, the #1 (left) lane of northbound US 101, will be closed from First St. to just north of the Jolon Rd. exit. This closure is expected to last through July 2021.
Also, on Monday Dec. 14, lane closures on northbound US 101, currently in place between Wildhorse Rd. and First Street, will shift from a closure of the #2 (right) lane to the #1 (left) lane. After Dec. 23, all lanes of northbound US 101 from south of Wildhorse Rd. to First St. will be open.
The contractor for this $78 million construction project is OHL, USA of Irvine, CA. This project is expected to be completed in 2021.
