The King City Police Department announced on Wednesday, July 29 that 18-year-old Richard Silva of King City was arrested and charged for burglary on Wednesday, July 22 for stealing $3,000 in property from the King City Fire Department on July 19 that included a fire services emergency radio, a chainsaw, and 20 helmet mounted headlamps. The KCPD initiated an investigation into the burglary and were able to develop leads which led to the identification of the suspect who committed the burglary. KCPD officers determined that Silva was in-custody at the Monterey County Jail for an unrelated matter to this investigation.
