An update from the Monterey County Health Department on Monday, March 30 reports that the number of confirmed conronavirus cases in the County has now increased by 4 people for a total of 40. Ten of the cases are travel-related, fifteen have come from person-to-person transmissions, seven came through community transmissions, seven people have been hospitalized, one person has died and eight are under investigation. The Monterey County Health Department has tested 561 people since testing in their lab started for COVID-19 on March 6.
