An update from the Monterey County Health Department on Sunday, March 29 reports that the number of confirmed conronavirus cases in the County has now increased to 36 people. Ten of the cases are travel-related, twelve came from person-to-person transmissions, six were through community transmissions, eight cases are under investigation, six people have been hospitalized and 1 person has died. The Monterey County Health Department has tested 452 people since testing in their lab for COVID-19 began on March 6.
