Hundreds of people were at the Orradre Building at the Salinas Valley Fairgrounds to show their support for the King City Chamber Commerce and Agriculture's Annual Awards Dinner on Saturday night, January 25. Being named Citizens of the Year were Dr. Tim and Phoebe Cheney, Jan Harkness of the Monterey County Dance Theatre who has helped produce many plays over the years was named Friend of the Community, while taking home Business of the Year honors was The Garden House.
