On Tuesday morning, November 19 at 4:08 am CHP Officers in Templeton were dispatched to a report of a wrong way driver. Witnesses stated that the driver got on and drove northbound on the southbound lanes of Highway 101 from State Route 46 West near the Target Shopping Center in Paso Robles. The driver crashed shortly after when she drove into the perimeter fence on the west side of Southbound 101. When Officers arrived on the scene, witnesses told them that a woman jumped from the car and ran away from the median. The Officers instructed the witnesses to stand by as they chased after the woman and caught her a short distance away. 37-year-old Jennifer Martin of Paso Robles attacked the CHP Officers and began punching and biting them until the Officers were able to take her into custody. Martin was later booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail charged with battery of an officer, resisting arrest and resisting with force that may cause bodily injury.
