A brush fire that sparked sometime before 3 pm near Lake San Antonio off of Jolon Road and New Pleyto Road in Lockwood on Monday, July 29 is now fully contained. Cal Fire crews and other agencies were able to get a handle of the blaze sometime late on Monday night, July 29 and for the next 3 days gradually made sure that it did not get out of control. The vegetation fire ended up burning 316 acres. No one was hurt, while multiple structures were threatened. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
