Cal Fire crews were busy extinguishing brush fires to close out the month of May on Friday, May 31. According to Cal Fire PIO Johnathan Pangburn, a 2 acre vegetation fire sparked at 1:45 am off of Metz Road and Blue Jay Lane outside of Soledad and was contained by fire crews in about 90 minutes, 3 spot fires flared up at around 10 am off of Jolon Road and San Lucas Road outside of King City and were controlled within 30 minutes, while another roadside spot fire was contained off of Bitterwater Rd X Industrial Way in King City sometime between 12 pm and 3 pm. No injuries were reported from these fires.
