Law enforcement nabs Soledad kidnapping victim



An alleged kidnapping victim wanted for attempted murder was located and arrested in Fresno on Thursday, November 29. 26-year-old Jorge Jasso of Soledad, was reportedly kidnapped on Monday, October 22 which was also the same day he was due in court. The FBI and U.S Attorney's Office reports that Jasso has been booked into the Fresno County Jail and has been charged with 3 counts of attempted murder, 1 count of conspiracy to commit murder and 1 count of conspiracy to commit murder with a deadly weapon. On Thursday, November 29, members of the Fresno County Multi Agency Gang Enforcement Consortium were in the area of Ashland Avenue and Highway 41 when they spotted a white four door GMC pickup. Authorities believed Jasso was inside the vehicle and attempted to stop it. The GMC turned a corner and collided with another car. Police say after the crash, Jasso got out of the car and ran, but was caught, arrested and found to be in possession of a loaded and concealed firearm. Also arrested and booked into the Fresno County Jail were 22-year-old Kimberly Herrera, 26-year-old Andres Ramirez and 23-year-old Hector Guerrero for charges ranging from felon in possession of a loaded gun and concealed firearm to possession of a machine gun.

3 Vehicle Accident on Highway 101 in Soledad on December 7

  A 3 vehicle crash ocurred on Highway 101 Southbound near the Front Street exit in Soledad at 4:01 pm on Thursday afternoon, December 7. Minor injuries were reported as a result of the collision. 

1 Vehicle Rollover Outside of King City on October 20

  1 vehicle overturned off of County Road 18 and Frudden Road outside of King City at 2:34 pm on Friday afternoon, October 20. 1 occupant received injuries as a result of the crash and ended up being transported to Natividad Medical Center in Salinas to be treated. The cause of the wreck is unknown.
