Arson incident in Greenfield



The Greenfield Fire and Police Departments responded to a vehicle fire on the 200 block of 10th Street on Wednesday morning, November 7 at around 9:32 am and it was fully extinguished within 5 minutes. As Greenfield Firefighters were attending to that fire though, a second fire flared up in a rubbish container in an alley up on the 200 block of El Camino Real which was quickly put out. With the help of the community, two juveniles were identified as the suspects, taken into custody and were arrested on suspicion of arson. The case remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Investigator Doglietto at 831-674-5111. Greenfield Fire Chief Jim Langborg advises people to please be very careful with whatever they are doing and added that fire season in California is year round.

1 Vehicle Rollover Outside of King City on October 20

  1 vehicle overturned off of County Road 18 and Frudden Road outside of King City at 2:34 pm on Friday afternoon, October 20. 1 occupant received injuries as a result of the crash and ended up being transported to Natividad Medical Center in Salinas to be treated. The cause of the wreck is unknown.
