A fire broke out sometime after 2 pm on Tuesday, September 25 in the back of a Semi Truck that was heading southbound on Highway 101 near the Jolon Road exit in King City. According to the CHP, the driver pulled over to the side of Highway 101 to try and extinguish the flames himself in his rig, but he was unsuccessful in doing so and a local Fire Department arrived onto the scene to put out the blaze and also to make sure that the fire didn't scorch a lot of vegetation on the side of Highway 101 South. The CHP was also on site to investigate and assist with traffic which was backed up for over an hour. No one was injured. The cause of the fire in the back of the Semi is unknown.
