If people in South Monterey County and beyond are looking for something to do this weekend then the 38th annual Salinas International Airshow located at 37 Mortensen Avenue will give them that opportunity this Saturday, September 29 and Sunday, September 30 beginning at 12 pm. The gates will open at 9 am. Executive Director Harry Wardwell said that the theme to this year's 2 day event is "Thunder and Glory" featuring the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds who will be flying their F-16 jets over Salinas and the Salinas Valley. Wardwell stated that other planes and jets that will be performing this weekend at the Airshow in Salinas include some antique planes, along with some B-17s and B-51s. General Admission is $20 per adult, while kids 12 and under are free.
