On Sunday, August 19 at 12:25 pm officers responded to a report of an attempted burglary on the 200 block of Bassett Street in King City. 31-year-old Luis Pacheco entered into the rear of a business and then entered a parked vehicle through a broken window. Officer Rodriguez was able to identify Pacheco on the surveillance footage from numerous contacts in the past. Pacheco was later contacted on the 700 block of Broadway Street where he confessed to Officer Rodriguez that he entered the vehicle in an attempt to steal items. Pacheco was arrested and transported to the Monterey County Jail.
