$16 million bail set for Soledad man charged with child sexual abuse

In January of 2018 Officers from the King City Police Department received information that a 14-year-old female was being sexually abused over a period of time. The investigation was turned over to the King City Investigations Division. The ensuing investigation revealed that the victim, a 14-year-old female, disclosed she had been sexually abused by a relative over a period of 7 years at locations starting in King City and in the City of Soledad. The 8 month investigation culminated in the arrest of 29-year-old Marcos Antonio Morales-Delagua of Soledad. Morales- Delagua was booked into the Monterey County Jail on Lewd acts on a child under 14-years-old and the Continuous sexual abuse of a minor. His bail was set at $16 million. The King City Investigations Division was assisted by the Major Crimes Unit. Suspect Vehicle in King City Quadruple Homicide on March 3 Has Been Located

3 Vehicle Accident on Highway 101 in Soledad on December 7

  A 3 vehicle crash ocurred on Highway 101 Southbound near the Front Street exit in Soledad at 4:01 pm on Thursday afternoon, December 7. Minor injuries were reported as a result of the collision. 

1 Vehicle Rollover Outside of King City on October 20

  1 vehicle overturned off of County Road 18 and Frudden Road outside of King City at 2:34 pm on Friday afternoon, October 20. 1 occupant received injuries as a result of the crash and ended up being transported to Natividad Medical Center in Salinas to be treated. The cause of the wreck is unknown.
