Groundbreaking for ARCO, Carl’s
Jr., and Starbucks will be within the next 3 to 5 weeks in Greenfield. City of
Greenfield Community Service Director Mic Steinmann said that these are the
first new retail projects in the Walnut Avenue Specific Plan area. The entire
community is excited to welcome these new businesses to Greenfield. It’s
anticipated the businesses will have their grand openings in Summer or Fall of this
year.
Over the next several months,
Steinmann will be making further announcements for the start of the next phase
of development that will include a multi-tenant retail building, a new hotel,
along with additional retailers and food service establishments. This next
phase will bring new opportunities along with new and different retailers to
Greenfield.
The Yanks Air Museum is working
towards the start of construction. The South End Annexation will be completed
very soon. That area will be the home to new housing, highway commercial space,
and industrial development.
