On
Sunday, February 25 at 4:48pm Officers from the King City Police Department
responded
to the 300 block of South Vanderhurst Street in regards to a call of a man
suffering from a gunshot wound. Upon the arrival of the officers, a Hispanic man
was found suffering from a gunshot wound and was transported to a local trauma
center for treatment of his injuries. Investigators from the Major Crimes
Investigations unit were called to investigate the incident. The ensuing
investigation determined that the victim was identified as a 19-year-old Hispanic
male, who suffered a life threatening gunshot wound to the upper body at a
residence on the 300 block of South Vanderhurst. There are no suspects in
custody or identified at this time. No
other information is being released, as the investigation is continuing. Investigators
would like to reach out to the public and are asking for their cooperation
