Salinas, CA – The nomination period to qualify as a write-in candidate for offices going to election in the Primary Election runs Monday, April 6, 2026, through Tuesday, May 19, 2026.
To qualify, candidates must meet the requirements of office and file write-in candidate nomination forms. Nomination forms must be filed at the Monterey County Elections Office located at 1441 Schilling Place – North Building, Salinas, CA 93901. There are no filing fees or candidate statements, and the write-in candidate’s name will not appear on the ballot.
