SALINAS, CA – The Declaration of Intention filing period for Judge of the Superior Court, Seat 17, is extended until 5 p.m., February 9, 2026.
This extension is required under California Elections Code section 8023(b) when the incumbent of a judicial office fails to file a Declaration of Intention by the original deadline.
Candidates interested in this judicial seat have until 5 p.m. on Monday, February 9, to file their Declaration of Intention and all required documents. Judicial candidates must pay their non-refundable filing fee at the time of filing the Declaration of Intention.
