SNAP/CalFresh Benefits are Reaching Local Residents in Monterey County

County of Monterey Department of Social Services is sharing that full November SNAP/CalFresh benefits have begun posting on EBT cards of local residents for their use.

The California Department of Social Services (CDSS) is telling Monterey County Officials that the state of California has initiated the distribution of full November CalFresh benefits. The state took this action in response to the court's ruling in the Rhode Island litigation, which determined that the Trump administration should fully fund the SNAP program for this month by November 7, 2025.

On Thursday night, November 6 the CDSS indicated that, while this could change, customers who would normally receive their benefits November 1-7, are expected to receive their benefits on November 7. Please note that this may mean some of these customers already have their benefits, while others may still be in process. Recipients can check their online accounts to find out if their benefits have been received.

Again, because this is an evolving situation and could change, CDSS anticipates that customers who would normally receive their benefits November 8-10, are anticipated to have their full benefits available as normal.

Monterey County Officials reminds customers and the community that this remains an evolving situation, and as they get more information, they will share it.
