Country Superstar Blake Shelton to Headline 2025 Big Week Kickoff Concert on June 27 at the California Rodeo Salinas; Tickets Go on Sale on March 6!

 

SALINAS, CA, March 3, 2025 – The California Rodeo Salinas is kicking off their annual festivities a bit earlier than usual with Blake Shelton, one of country music’s biggest stars, headlining the 2025 Big Week Kick Off Concert on Friday, June 27. Known for his chart-topping hits, larger-than-life personality, and role as a longtime coach on The Voice, Shelton has captivated fans worldwide with his dynamic performances and undeniable talent.

With 29 #1 singles, 52 million singles and 13 million albums sold and nearly 11 billion Global Streams, Shelton has received numerous awards, including six ACMs, three AMAs, ten CMAs, 11 CMTs and six People’s Choice, among many others. He is currently climbing the country charts with his new single “Texas.” 

Gates will open at 5pm on June 27 and opening acts include Cameron Whitcomb and Red Shahan. The concert is presented by Taylor Farms and produced by California Rodeo Salinas and David Drew Productions, with support from media partners KSBW TV 8, Central Coast ABC, and KTOM 92.7FM.

Ticket prices are $60 for grandstand seats (ages 2+), $90 for standing floor tickets (ages 2+), and $105 for box seats (all ages).

Parking: $30 per vehicle.

Shelton returns to the television stage this fall with “The Road.” Along with Taylor Sheridan, he is an executive producer and will appear in the new singing competition that will air on CBS. 

A noted humanitarian, Shelton has helped raise millions of dollars for children’s hospitals, disaster relief organizations, food banks, and the OK POP Museum, and he wrapped the “Back To The Honky Tonk” Tour in March with a special show in Tulsa titled Blake Shelton & Friends: Oklahoma Is All For The Hall. Monterey County DA Releases Preliminary Information Concerning an Officer Involved Shooting Incident that Occurred Outside of Soledad on December 16

  SALINAS, California- Monterey County District Attorney Jeannine M. Pacioni on December 19 released preliminary information concerning the officer involved shooting (OIS) which occurred at about 1:20 a.m. outside the city of Soledad on December 16, 2025. Just before 1:00 a.m., Monterey County Sheriff’s Deputy Carlos Pina, who has been a peace officer for 10 years all with MCSO, and Deputy Blain Councilman, each in separate patrol cars, were dispatched to 32097 McCoy Road. A resident at the farm labor camp reported a suspicious individual with a handgun whose white Honda 4 door sedan was parked in space 18 at the complex. King City City Council Announces Selection of José Arreola as New City Manager

  January 7, 2025-Following an extensive recruitment process, José Arreola has been selected by the King City City Council to be its next City Manager. Arreola will replace Steve Adams, who is retiring after serving in the position for the past 10 years. Arreola was selected from 31 applicants and 8 finalists for the position. The King City City Council will formally consider the proposed city manager contract at its meeting on Tuesday night, January 13.
