Greenfield Man Sentenced to 20 Years in Prison for Forcible Rape Causing Great Bodily Injury

 

SALINAS, California- Monterey County District Attorney Jeannine M. Pacioni announced on November 30

that on November 28, 2023, the Honorable Mark E. Hood sentenced 29-year-old Adrian Rojas Sebastian of Greenfield to 20 years in prison for committing 3 counts of forcible rape and

for personally inflicting great bodily injury upon a victim during the rape. These offenses are

serious and violent felonies and considered strikes under California’s 3 Strikes law. Sebastian

will also be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

The incident took place in the Fall of 2022. Jane Doe reported that Sebastian had come to her house to socialize the night of the crime. After

everyone had gone to bed Jane Doe told Sebastian he should stay at her home because he had

consumed too much alcohol to drive safely. Jane Doe tried to go to bed but Sebastian grabbed her

and forced her to the floor. Sebastian then proceeded to rape Jane Doe. Jane Doe told Sebastian

“no” numerous times. Jane Doe was severely injured as a result of the rape and required surgery to

treat her injuries.

This case was investigated by Greenfield Police Detective Armando Lerma as well as other

Greenfield Police Officers. Jane Doe was assisted by Victim Advocate Sonia Buenrostro.

3 Vehicle Accident on Highway 101 in Soledad on December 7

  A 3 vehicle crash ocurred on Highway 101 Southbound near the Front Street exit in Soledad at 4:01 pm on Thursday afternoon, December 7. Minor injuries were reported as a result of the collision. 

1 Vehicle Rollover Outside of King City on October 20

  1 vehicle overturned off of County Road 18 and Frudden Road outside of King City at 2:34 pm on Friday afternoon, October 20. 1 occupant received injuries as a result of the crash and ended up being transported to Natividad Medical Center in Salinas to be treated. The cause of the wreck is unknown.
