SPCA Continues to Provide Pet Food for Flood Victims

SPCA Monterey County will be at Pajaro Middle School on Tuesday, April 18  from 10 am - 12 pm, to distribute pet food for those affected by the recent flooding and evacuations.  Food for dogs, cats, birds, chickens, and small pets will be available. Pajaro Middle School is located at 250 Salinas Rd. in Pajaro.

This distribution is only for Pajaro residents.

The SPCA previously distributed food in the area on April 7, and when evacuated pets were reunited with their owners, the SPCA provided free pet food as well.

“The people of Pajaro have been through so much,” says Beth Brookhouser, SPCA Vice President of Marketing and Communications. “We are giving free pet food to all Pajaro pet owners so residents of Pajaro don't need to worry about feeding their pets during this time.”

SPCA Monterey County cared for 244 pets evacuated during the recent flooding. We provided pet food and supplies to all local emergency shelters and to anyone evacuating with their pets. All emergency services provided by The SPCA are free of charge and supported through the generosity of our compassionate donors.
