Local, state and federal collaborators are ending Day 5 of the County of Monterey Local Assistance Center (LAC) for those impacted by the 2023 storms, which is located at the Spreckels Veterans Memorial Building.
Here is some data to share.

The number of families/households now registered for assistance:
1,640. Tuesday’s total was
1,475.

MST continues to provide bus service to and from the Center from San Ardo and Pajaro.

Thursday, January 26th is the last day for the Center in its current location.
The Center will reopen in a new location on Saturday, January 28th. We will announce new location soon.
The Virtual Assistance Center is online and always available: https://www.co.monterey.ca.us/winterstormsVirtualLAC. This
is an online, ‘one stop’ shop for resources for those affected by the 2023 Winter Storms.
There was a food and diaper distribution at the assistance center today, courtesy of the Celebration Nation organization. Families in need were able to access services and information then received groceries and fresh produce to take home. There were also diapers for families who needed them. There is another food and diaper distribution planned for Thursday.
