Road and Lane Closures in South Monterey County on Highway 101 for the Week of November 27

 

MONTEREY COUNTY – Here are the major scheduled road and lane closures on Highway 101 for South Monterey County from Sunday, November 27 through Saturday, December 3. 


Highway 101:  Soledad Overhead: November 29 – December 2

There will alternating lane closure and full closure of the off ramp along northbound Highway 101 at the Soledad Overhead for striping operation work from 6 am to 9 pm.


Highway 101: Jolon Road (Bradley) – Alvarado/San Bernardo: November 29

There will be one lane closures along northbound Highway 101 between Jolon Road in Bradley at postmile 12.9 and Alvarado/San Bernardo at postmile 13.2 for tree work along the highway from 9 am to 3 pm.


Highway 101: Wild Horse Road : November 28 - November 30

There will be full closure of the on and off ramps of northbound and southbound Highway 101 at Wild Horse Road for paving work from 8 am to 6 pm.


Highway 101: Broadway Street: Long - Term

There will be full closure of the off ramp of southbound Highway 101 at Broadway Street for paving work from 4 am to 12 am.


Highway 101: First Street: November 29 - December 1

There will be full closure of the on and off ramps of northbound and southbound Highway 101 at First Street for paving work from 8 am to 6 pm.


Highway 101: Canal Street:  December 1

There will be full closure of the on and off ramps of northbound of Highway 101 at First Street for paving work from 8 am to 6 pm on. There will also be full closure of the on ramp to southbound Highway 101.


Highway 101: Teague Avenue – Jolon Road (Southbound): November 28 - December 2

There will be one lane closures along northbound and southbound Highway 101 between Teague Avenue and southbound Jolon Road for median barrier work along the highway from 6 am to 3 pm.


Highway 101: Camp Roberts Rest Area (Northbound) – Camp Roberts Rest Area (Southbound) Dec. 1

There will be one lane closures along northbound Highway 101 between Camp Roberts Rest Area (northbound) and the southbound Camp Roberts Rest Area for guardrail repair work along the highway from 7 am to 2 pm.


Highway 101: Front Street: Long-Term

One lane closure will occur along Front Street at Highway 101 for bridge work from 7 am to 12 am.


Highway 101: SB Jolon Road: Long - Term

There will be full closure of the on and off ramps of southbound Highway 101 at Jolon Road for paving operation work. From 3 am to 11:59 pm.


Highway 101:  Camp Roberts Rest Areas: Long-Term

There will be full closure of the Camp Roberts Rest Areas on northbound and southbound Highway 101 for work to upgrade the facility from 10 am to 12 pm.


Highway 101: First Street – Jolon Road, King City: Long-Term

There will be one lane closure along northbound and southbound Highway 101 from First Street to Jolon Road for roadway excavation and pavement work from 8 am to 4 pm. Motorists can expect delays of up to 10 minutes.


Please keep in mind that construction work is weather-dependent.

King City City Council Announces Selection of José Arreola as New City Manager

  January 7, 2025-Following an extensive recruitment process, José Arreola has been selected by the King City City Council to be its next City Manager. Arreola will replace Steve Adams, who is retiring after serving in the position for the past 10 years. Arreola was selected from 31 applicants and 8 finalists for the position. The King City City Council will formally consider the proposed city manager contract at its meeting on Tuesday night, January 13. King City CHP is searching for person of interest who fled the scene of a fatal crash in Greenfield

On Monday, September 16 at approximately 3:50 pm, a fatal traffic collision occurred on Metz Road south of Elm Avenue in Greenfield.  The driver who caused the collision fled on foot and is currently outstanding.  The California Highway Patrol King City Area is currently seeking the whereabouts of 31-year-old Agustin Santana-Moncada of King City who has been identified as a person of interest in the case.  The King City Area is requesting assistance from the public in locating Santana-Moncada.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the King City Area office at (831) 385-3216.
