19-year-old man in Greenfield Taken Into Custody for Allegedly Raping a 12-year-old

 

According to the Soledad Police Department, Officers were called in on November 21 to a report of annoying messages between a 12-year-old child and 19-year-old Nathaniel Diaz. After looking over the information, the case was then sent over to the Soledad PD's Investigations Division to look over further. Soledad Police Detectives and a Forensic Interviewer from The Bates Eldridge Clinic at Natividad Medical Center spoke with the 12-year-old child and they determined that numerous sex crimes had taken place between the child and the suspect on several occasions in Soledad and in Greenfield. On Tuesday, November 29 Monterey County Superior Court issued a search warrant which was executed by the Soledad Police Department with the assistance of the Greenfield Police Department and the King City Police Department on the evening of November 29 on the 600 block of Madera Avenue in Greenfield. Family members were cooperative and assisted detectives with contacting the suspect who later turned himself in to Soledad Police Detectives at the Soledad Police Department. 


Nathaniel Diaz was interviewed, arrested and was later booked into the Monterey County Jail charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault - Rape of a Minor, Lewd Acts on a Minor, Oral Copulation of a Minor, Sexual Penetration of a Minor, Arranging a Meeting with a Minor for the purpose of sex, Possession of Child Pornography, Child Abuse and Criminal Threats.

King City City Council Announces Selection of José Arreola as New City Manager

King City CHP is searching for person of interest who fled the scene of a fatal crash in Greenfield

On Monday, September 16 at approximately 3:50 pm, a fatal traffic collision occurred on Metz Road south of Elm Avenue in Greenfield.  The driver who caused the collision fled on foot and is currently outstanding.  The California Highway Patrol King City Area is currently seeking the whereabouts of 31-year-old Agustin Santana-Moncada of King City who has been identified as a person of interest in the case.  The King City Area is requesting assistance from the public in locating Santana-Moncada.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the King City Area office at (831) 385-3216.
