Vehicle Pursuit on April 25 that Began on Highway 101 Near King City Ends Outside of San Luis Obispo

According to the King City California Highway Patrol, an early morning car chase happened near King City and ended north of San Luis Obispo on Monday, April 25. The pursuit started at 12:51 am and ended at 1:36 am covering 75 miles of highway in 45 minutes. Calls came into law enforcement at about 12:45 am of a reckless driver heading southbound on Highway 101. King City CHP officers located the vehicle and attempted to pull the driver over, but when she didn't stop officers began a pursuit. The Monterey County Sheriff's Office assisted the CHP in following the driver who continued southbound along Highway 101 into San Luis Obispo County. The chase ended at Old Stagecoach Road north of San Luis Obispo when spike strips were placed in the road by officers which damaged the vehicle's tires and brought it to a stop. The King City CHP states that the elderly woman driving the vehicle who's name has not been released was experiencing a medical episode when she was operating her vehicle. The woman was transported to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo to be treated. No one was injured in the vehicle pursuit.

3 Vehicle Accident on Highway 101 in Soledad on December 7

  A 3 vehicle crash ocurred on Highway 101 Southbound near the Front Street exit in Soledad at 4:01 pm on Thursday afternoon, December 7. Minor injuries were reported as a result of the collision. 

1 Vehicle Rollover Outside of King City on October 20

  1 vehicle overturned off of County Road 18 and Frudden Road outside of King City at 2:34 pm on Friday afternoon, October 20. 1 occupant received injuries as a result of the crash and ended up being transported to Natividad Medical Center in Salinas to be treated. The cause of the wreck is unknown.
