King City Sidewalk Improvement Project

King City’s sidewalk improvement project is under way. It is starting on King Street and will gradually make its way south. The project includes repairs of damaged segments of sidewalk, installation of accessibility ramps at intersections, and installation of new sidewalk in some segments where sidewalks are missing on streets with heavy pedestrian traffic. The project is being funded from a $3.5 million Community Development Block Grant the City of King recently applied for and received after 4 attempts. The project will take almost a year to complete.
