King City Young Farmers to Host Avenue of Honor Dedication Ceremony and Barbecue Fundraiser at San Lorenzo Park on July 4
The King City Young Farmers will be holding an Avenue of Honor Dedication Ceremony along with a Renovation and Relocation Rib Barbecue Fundraiser on Sunday, July 4 from 12 pm to 3 pm at San Lorenzo Park in King City. Lunch is $15 per person, while proceeds from the event will be used to fund the restoration and continued maintenance of the Avenue of Honor. The project honors local area military veterans that have been killed in action during WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan and later military actions. This renovation and relocation project will allow the Avenue of Honor to be appreciated as it was intended. The location will serve as an additional feature to San Lorenzo Park allowing individuals, groups and organizations to utilize the area for Celebrations, Memorials and Holiday Tributes, such as the 4th of July, Veterans Day, Memorial Day and so many more. The Avenue of Honor is yet another benefit made possible to South Monterey County, the Parks Department and its citizens.
