1 Vehicle Accident on 101 South of Greenfield Causes Power Outage in King City, Greenfield & Soledad
A 1 vehicle crash took place at 4:45 am on Friday morning, October 30 north of Underwood Road off of Highway 101 Southbound about 9 miles south of Greenfield. The driver of the vehicle struck a power pole and was injured in the accident receiving lacerations and a broken hand. In addition, power wires fell on the Highway shutting down 101 for an hour and a half which caused a power outage that affected 5,152 residents living in King City, Greenfield and Soledad for a couple of hours. P,G&E work crews restored electricity to all affected customers sometime after 7 am. Several other vehicles received damaged after the power lines fell as a result of the accident on 101, but no one was injured. Alcohol or drugs were not a factor in this collision.
