Free SPCA Pet Food Bank Event on Saturday May 30 at SPCA & Patriot Park in Greenfield



SPCA Monterey County is focused on keeping pets in their homes with their families during this difficult time. The SPCA offers free pet food every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday from 9 to 11 am at the SPCA.


We are also offering a free SPCA Pet Food Bank event in Greenfield on Saturday, May 30, from 10 to 11 am at Patriot Park. Patriot Park is located at 1351 Oak Ave in Greenfield. All food is first come, first served, and completely free thanks to our donors. The event is open to pet owners in Greenfield or any other city.


If you need any type of pet food, please come at that time to have at least two weeks of food safely loaded into your vehicle by SPCA team members.

The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) Monterey County is your nonprofit, independent, donor-supported humane society that has been serving the animals and people of Monterey County since 1905. The SPCA is not a chapter of any other agency and does not have a parent organization.  They shelter homeless, neglected and abused pets and livestock, and provide humane education and countless other services to the community. Suspect Vehicle in King City Quadruple Homicide on March 3 Has Been Located

  The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office, on behalf of the King City Police Department is informing the community that the suspect vehicle involved in a quadruple homicide that occurred Sunday, March 3 on the 200 block of North Second Street in King City, has been located and recovered.  The vehicle was located in an unincorporated area of South Monterey County.   A 3 vehicle crash ocurred on Highway 101 Southbound near the Front Street exit in Soledad at 4:01 pm on Thursday afternoon, December 7. Minor injuries were reported as a result of the collision.

1 Vehicle Rollover Outside of King City on October 20

  1 vehicle overturned off of County Road 18 and Frudden Road outside of King City at 2:34 pm on Friday afternoon, October 20. 1 occupant received injuries as a result of the crash and ended up being transported to Natividad Medical Center in Salinas to be treated. The cause of the wreck is unknown.
