At the King City City Council meeting on Tuesday night, September 24 at City Hall the Council honored and congratulated longtime Joanne Banuelos on her retirement with a Mayor's Proclamation for keeping the community informed on City business with a column that she wrote in the King City Rustler Weekly Newspaper for 14 years. In other business, the Council approved the 1st Reading of an Ordinance regulating Industrial Hemp. City Manager Steve Adams that this Ordinance only pertains to manufacturing use of Industrial Hemp, not cultivation. The Council also approved an Ordinance amending Chapter 5.34 of Title 5 of the King City Municipal Code pertaining to Itinerant Vendors, Solicitors and Peddlers. Also during the meeting resident Connie Bauer addressed the Council to let them know that she received word from the head of Mee Memorial hospital who stated that they're going to hold a public forum on Wednesday, October 9 in the Orradre Building in King City at 2:30 PM and at 5:30 PM to listen to any concerns that people in the community may have regarding what's going on at the Hospital.
