1 woman injured in vehicle vs motorcycle crash in Templeton



On Wednesday morning, September 11 at approximately 9:10 am 35-year-old Bill Keulen of Paso Robles was heading eastbound on State Route-58 w/of W. Pozo Road following two big rig dump trucks at around 40 MPH passing the Santa Margarita Cemetery and approaching a curve in the roadway, while 34-year-old Laurie Trejo of Santa Margarita was driving westbound on State Route-58 w/of W. Pozo Road at approximately 55-60 MPH approaching a curve in the roadway. Keulen accelerated into the westbound lane and attempted to pass both big rig dump trucks as they grew close to the curve in the roadway and accelerated at a high speed as he reached the curve at which time Trejo was westbound in the curve, directly in the path of Keulen. Keulen observed Trejo ahead of him in the curve as he was alongside the lead big rig dump truck and attempted to move back into the eastbound lane as he drew closer to Trejo in the curve, but did not have sufficient clearance and the rear of his vehicle hit the left side of a motorcycle with Trejo in it sending it out of control onto the north roadway edge dirt shoulder. The motorcycle rolled and ejected Trejo causing major injuries to her. Keulen continued eastbound on State Route-58 to W. Pozo Road without returning to the scene. A follow-up throughout the day led CHP Officers to the residence of Keulen in Paso Robles where he was detained and questioned.

King City City Council Announces Selection of José Arreola as New City Manager

  January 7, 2025-Following an extensive recruitment process, José Arreola has been selected by the King City City Council to be its next City Manager. Arreola will replace Steve Adams, who is retiring after serving in the position for the past 10 years. Arreola was selected from 31 applicants and 8 finalists for the position. King City CHP is searching for person of interest who fled the scene of a fatal crash in Greenfield

On Monday, September 16 at approximately 3:50 pm, a fatal traffic collision occurred on Metz Road south of Elm Avenue in Greenfield.  The driver who caused the collision fled on foot and is currently outstanding.  The California Highway Patrol King City Area is currently seeking the whereabouts of 31-year-old Agustin Santana-Moncada of King City who has been identified as a person of interest in the case.  The King City Area is requesting assistance from the public in locating Santana-Moncada.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the King City Area office at (831) 385-3216.
