The King City PD is searching for a man involved in an assault



The King City Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect who was part of an unprovoked attack. The incident happened on Thursday night, August 22 at around 9 pm as officers from the King City Police Department were dispatched to a service station on the 1100 block of Broadway Street regarding a fight that had occurred. Upon the officer’s arrival all the involved parties had fled the scene.
However, on Friday afternoon, August 23 at 1:50 pm the victim of the assault went to the King City Police Department to report the incident. The ensuing investigation determined that the victim was fueling up his vehicle when an unknown Hispanic Male Adult approached the victim and in an unprovoked attack struck the victim numerous times in the upper body with his fists, knocking the victim to the ground. Once on the ground the suspect kicked the victim in the upper body with his feet. The suspect walked away going into the store, purchasing some items and left the store driving off in a grey 2010 to 2014 Honda Accord 4 door midsize car and is described as a Hispanic Male in his mid 30s, is 5’08 to 5’09 inches tall, has Medium build, while he was wearing a Black Oakland “A”s ball cap, a white t-shirt and blue jeans..
A motive for the attack is unknown and the victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Suspect Vehicle in King City Quadruple Homicide on March 3 Has Been Located

  The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office, on behalf of the King City Police Department is informing the community that the suspect vehicle involved in a quadruple homicide that occurred Sunday, March 3 on the 200 block of North Second Street in King City, has been located and recovered.  The vehicle was located in an unincorporated area of South Monterey County. The King City Police Department is receiving assistance from multiple local and federal law enforcement partners in this investigation. King City Man Arrested on January 6 for Rape, Unlawful Sexual Intercourse with a Minor and Kidnapping

  According to King City Police Department, on December 30, 2024 a 17-year-old minor female victim reported that she had attended a party on the 100 Block of Bedford Circle on December 24, 2024. During the party, the suspect provided her with alcohol. He then pulled the victim into a bedroom, forcibly removed her clothing and had sexual intercourse with her against her will. This case was investigated by the King City Police Department Investigations Unit which resulted in the apprehension and arrest on January 6, 2025 of the suspect identified as 21-year-old Jesus Oseguera Briseno of King City. Briseno was also booked into the Monterey County Jail charged with Rape, Unlawful Sexual Intercourse with a Minor and Kidnapping.
