5 people arrested in drug raid in Greenfield



On Thursday, July 11 at 5:30 am, the Greenfield Police Department, the DEA, the State Parole and Salinas Police Department's Violence Suppression Task Force executed a search warrant at 414 Calaveras Way. During the warrant methamphetamine, a firearm, ammunition, heroin, drug paraphernalia along with glass pipes, syringes, over 50 marijuana plants, cash and packaging material were located in the residence.
Six people were found in the home and five were arrested. 

1. Sergio Barbosa - was arrested for violation of probation and possession of drug paraphernalia,

2. Bonnie Henson - was arrested for violation of probation and possession of drug paraphernalia,

3. Sergio Gonzalez - was arrested for violation of probation and possession of drug paraphernalia,

4. Vickie Black was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia,

5. Micheal Suniga, the home owner - was arrested for maintaining drug house, possession of a controlled substance for sales, possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition as a felon, cultivating marijuana, selling marijuana, and other charges.

Barbosa, Henson, Gonzalez, and Suniga were taken to Monterey County Jail, while Vickie Black was cited and released.
The residence was also condemned by the City for poor living conditions. In addition,   7 chickens, 1 rooster and 4 dogs were taken into protective custody.

3 Vehicle Accident on Highway 101 in Soledad on December 7

  A 3 vehicle crash ocurred on Highway 101 Southbound near the Front Street exit in Soledad at 4:01 pm on Thursday afternoon, December 7. Minor injuries were reported as a result of the collision. 

1 Vehicle Rollover Outside of King City on October 20

  1 vehicle overturned off of County Road 18 and Frudden Road outside of King City at 2:34 pm on Friday afternoon, October 20. 1 occupant received injuries as a result of the crash and ended up being transported to Natividad Medical Center in Salinas to be treated. The cause of the wreck is unknown.
