Home invasion and kidnapping in Soledad

On Monday, October 22 at approximately 8:30 AM, a home invasion and kidnapping occurred on the 1700 block of Marin Place in the City of Soledad. Two or more suspects forced entry into a home, struggled with the 26 year old male victim and then forcibly took him from the home.
Witnesses said they were awakened by the sound of the front door of the residence being forced open and then what appeared to be a struggle with the victim. Witnesses said they heard at least 2 subjects yelling at the victim and telling him to be quiet before he was forcibly removed from the home.
The reporting party immediately contacted 911 and officers responded directly to the home. Upon arrival, officers found evidence of forced entry into the residence and conducted a canvas of the area.
The victim, Jorge Jasso, 26 years-old, 5'8", 180 lbs. brown eyes and brown hair, was last seen wearing only dark shorts and no other clothing.
Multiple witnesses have been interviewed and there is no known motive at this time. Investigators from the Monterey County District Attorney's Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are also assisting us with the investigation.
