Burglar robs 2 females in King City home

On Wednesday, August 22 at 5:20pm officers with the King City Police Department responded to the 100 block of River Drive in regards to a burglary that occurred. The preliminary investigation revealed that a suspect described as a hispanic male in his late 20s standing 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall weighing from 160 to 180 pounds with dark bushy eyebrows and a thin dark mustache, wearing a gray hoodie sweatshirt, a red and blue baseball cap and black pants entered a residence occupied by 2 female juveniles stealing miscellaneous items and left the residence. Detectives from the King City Investigations Unit were called to investigate the incident. The ensuing investigation revealed that the suspect entered the residence through a side door and startled the 2 female juveniles inside the residence. The suspect directed the females to a room in the residence and had them stay in place. The suspect then took some items from the females and fled the residence on foot. The suspect was last seen running in a southwesterly direction from the residence. No injuries were sustained by the juveniles. An area check by patrol officers did not locate the suspect and he is still outstanding. No further information is being released at this time. King City City Council Announces Selection of José Arreola as New City Manager

  January 7, 2025-Following an extensive recruitment process, José Arreola has been selected by the King City City Council to be its next City Manager. King City CHP is searching for person of interest who fled the scene of a fatal crash in Greenfield

On Monday, September 16 at approximately 3:50 pm, a fatal traffic collision occurred on Metz Road south of Elm Avenue in Greenfield.  The driver who caused the collision fled on foot and is currently outstanding.  The California Highway Patrol King City Area is currently seeking the whereabouts of 31-year-old Agustin Santana-Moncada of King City who has been identified as a person of interest in the case.  The King City Area is requesting assistance from the public in locating Santana-Moncada.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the King City Area office at (831) 385-3216.
