It was great day to be a Bruin at Greenfield High School as over 20 people were on hand to witness the unveiling of a new bronze Bruin sculpture in the main quad area at GHS on Monday morning, August 27. Greenfield High School Principal Frank Lynch was very pleased with how this Bruin sculpture turned out. Principal Lynch said that the Bruin sculpture was shipped over from Thailand and cost less than $10,000. Most of the funding came from Wells Fargo Bank and the 2018 graduating class from Greenfield High School also raised money through donations. Greenfield High School student Matthew Cortez feels the new bronze Bruin statue will give himself and other student athletes better energy for sports. The previous Bruin mascot displayed in the Greenfield High School main quad area lasted around 13 years and was made of metal and wood. Principal Lynch is hoping that this bronze Bruin mascot will be around a lot longer than 13 years.
