King City teacher busted for lewd acts with student

A King City teacher was arrested during the week of June 24 for lewd acts with a student and for giving the minor drugs.
According to the Monterey County Sheriff's Office, they were notified of a possible inappropriate relationship between a teacher and a 16-year-old high school student on June 25 or June 26. Their investigation indicated that the teacher and student were in a sexual relationship from November of 2017 to June of 2018. The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office also stated that Jones gave the teen boy marijuana on several occasions.
29-year-old Jennifer Suzanne Jones was arrested at her home on the 600 block of Heirloom Place on Thursday, June 28.
Jones taught at Pinnacle Academy Charter School, an independent studies program in King City.
Jones is no longer an employee of the South Monterey County Joint Union High School District. Investigators don't think any of the sexual activity occurred on school property.
Jones was arrested and transported to the Monterey County Jail. Her bail was set at $300,000.
